Tematika
The course is an introduction to polymer chemistry. The most important chemical pathways of polymer synthesis, the modification of natural polymers will be presented. Students taking the course will learn on polymers, plastics, composites that are present in the everyday life. They could extend their knowledge on plastics and polymers used for medical applications as well as in pharmacy and pharmaceutical technologies. Environmental pollution caused by plastics is one of the global problems, therefore biodegradable polymers and possible bioremediation methods will be also discussed.
