This summer (29 June – 4 July 2026), the CEEPUS Summer School of Biotechnology brought together 16 students and 8 lecturers from 8 countries — Croatia, Hungary, Serbia, Romania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo — including biotechnology students from the University of Pécs.
The summer school focused on sustainable biotechnology and innovative solutions for the food, pharmaceutical, and environmental sectors, while also touching on entrepreneurship, bioethics, and biosafety. All of this fits seamlessly into our Interreg BABE project's goal: strengthening biotechnology education and encouraging cross-border collaboration, skill-sharing, and learning.
That is why Interereg BABE was presented by our project team leaders, Natalija Velić and Krisztian Kvell, who, along with other BABE team members, got to experience this fantastic international atmosphere firsthand.
