At a Thanksgiving Mass, graduating students expressed gratitude at the Pécs Cathedral

On July 4, 2025, graduating pharmacy, biotechnology, and dental students of the University of Pécs collectively gave thanks for the years behind them, successful final exams, and the attainment of their diplomas during the festive Te Deum Mass held at Pécs Cathedral. 

The annual Thanksgiving Mass, now a tradition, marked a fitting start to this year's commencement ceremony, made possible through the dedicated efforts of Dr. Klára Mayer, honorary associate professor. At the beginning of the ceremony, Dr. Zsuzsanna Rozmer, Dean of Education and Student Welfare at the Faculty of Pharmacy, greeted the graduates. In her address, she emphasized the importance of commitment, knowledge, and humanity, values that have accompanied the students throughout their studies and will continue to support them in their future professional endeavors. 

The main celebrant of the Mass was Bishop László Bíró, retired military bishop, with concelebrants including Father József Kovács and Father Mark Kingsley Chidubem Okafor, a Nigerian priest and graduating student of the Faculty of Pharmacy.
